Funding entity Fundación Airtel
The objective of this cooperation with Fundación Airtel is the use of communications via GSM to control industrial plants. GSM is proposed as a means to carry-out monitoring and control operations in isolated industrial plants, such as co-generation power plants. This first stage in the cooperation will end with the development of an small prototype to analyse the viability of the project. This prototype will be based on a PC running Linux, and a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
